A Letter To My Son

Sweet Liam,
I know I brought you into this world while I was still in the process of finding myself. But as I watch my tummy grow and see how different you look every time I go in for an ultrasound, I realize more and more than I'm finding myself wrapped up in you. You're my first baby, my first son, and my first life changing experience. So if you bare with me, I'll figure it all out. You won't ever have to worry, mommy and daddy are going to always be here for you.
I often go through all the things we've bought you, I can sit here for hours just folding and unfolding your clothes that you'll be in within the next 12 months. I stare at your ultrasound pictures for minutes at a time, just amazed that you're already getting so big, and it won't ever stop. I'd walk to the ends of this earth to make sure you're happy and healthy. I can't wait to hold your little body in my arms. Daddy can't wait to teach you sports and how to hunt. (I'm not too thrilled about the hunting part)
"I knew I loved you before I met you." Can you imagine what it's going to be like when we do meet? I'm so excited to see who you look more like. I think you'll look like your daddy. Let's just hope you're not as stubborn as him ;) I can't wait to show you the world. I love you so much sweet boy.
                                                                                   Love, Mommy.

16 Weeks, 4 Days

How far along? 16 weeks, 4 days.
Total weight gain/loss: 9 lbs.

Stretch Marks? Newwwp.
Sleep: Good, aside from the aweful dreams I keep having.
Best moment this week: Getting the motivation to go walking, swimming, tanning. Instead of staying couped up in the house all day.

Food cravings: Taco Bell, pickle juice, salads, and shrimp.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Yogurt covered rainsins, doesn't make me as sick to type it though. It's getting better.

Must Haves!

Must haves for my baby boy:
 Baby Moccasins? Too adorable!
A wooden wall. I'm deciding to go with more of a nature theme for his nursery, but also doing designs that can grow up with him as he gets older, so no blue or baby designs. Something that can fit any age and be easily fixed, changed, removed, etc. Great idea if you ask me!

Liam Brooks!

Well today at 10:30 a.m. we found out sweet pea is indeed a BOY!! I'm so excited! Now I'm just ready to hold him! It was so crazy seeing him again. Last sonogram was at 11 weeks and Liam's legs were barely NUBS! His head was huge and he just looked like a little fish! Now at 16 weeks we saw his legs crossed, his feet, toes, fingers, face, everything :) Which by the way he has his daddy's big juicy lips, haha. I cannot wait to meet this precious baby boy and give him the love and attention I've been waiting to give him!
Mommy loves you Liam Brooks Bordelon<3

Baby Shower Theme + Gender Reveal Party?

Baby Shower Theme:
I was kind of wanting to do something like a Luau, because I love the beach, the ocean, and everything in between. Either that or elephants, rubber duckies, modern owls, pin wheels and paums..
-or-
there's this cute theme- you base it on the first letter of your baby's name, so say your baby's name is Brooke.. You'll decorate with birds, bubbles, ballet shoes, bottles, balloons, bears, bees, blow fish? AND even colors such as: Baby blue, beige, brown, black, bronze, blue green.. Any cute thing starting with a B!
Pin Wheels and Paums Themed Shower
 Woodland Forest Themed Shower
Guess Whoooo's Having A Baby! (Owl Themed Shower)
Taste The Rainbow Themed Shower
Now I do realize a lot of mommies out there find it "tacky" to do your own baby shower, but I'm too much of a perfectionish to allow anyone else to come up with the theme, do all the decorating, everything. I will make the decorations and what not but I asked my mom to "hold the baby shower for me" but to allow me to add the things I want into it. She agreed so BAM, we have a decision :]

Gender Reveal Party:
The thought of a gender reveal party is sooo exciting and I'm starting to really consider having one. Either that or I just want Chris and I to get a photographer, and do something more creative than the old "cutting the cake" idea. Here are some pics to give you a general idea of what the party consists of.

"It's a boy!"

See, now isn't that cute and would be fun memories to tell the baby about :]
There's other ways to reveal the gender. Since Easter is coming up, you can have an easter egg hunt. After everyone is done searching and all eggs are found, open them and whoever finds the egg with the gender reveal in it gets a prize!
Also, you can find a huge cardboard box, and pink balloons if it's a girl, blue for boy, paint the box saying BOY or GIRL? All cute-like, then have the photographer take pics of you and your hubby opening the box together as the pink or blue balloons fly out! :]

The Famous Chalkboard Idea

Okay so a few weeks ago I came across these photos on pinterest, I'm only going to post one because I'm sure she doesn't want her pics all over the internet:
you can look at her site at http://littlebabygarvin.blogspot.com
So I absolutely love this idea and will probably start doing it whenever we can find an old painting this huge and a place to hang it! Yayyy!

My sweet little plum at 11 weeks and 3 days<3

Nursery Ideas!

Okay, so the nursery has been all I have been thinking about lately. I've seriously become obsessed.

I haven't figured out for sure any theme or patterns but I know for sure I want all types of damask fabric in his/her room. Which looks like this:
So that's the type of design I'm going for, kind of a vinatge, chic look, but also child-like and playful.
I want it to be colorful, the more colors the better. Little plum will have it's eyes occupied with colorful wall decor and a colorful mobile. (In which I am planning to make.)
This will be the baby's mobile, not quite that long though, but I LOVE these, I think they're to die for! I plan on sewing the tops with all sorts of different fabric designs. The room will be based on the fabric DESIGN, not a animal theme, or color theme.. A design theme, so it'll be different colors but mostly the same damask design. Let me know what you think!

Also I'm on pinterest! http://pinterest.com/reaganelise18/

15 Weeks

How far along? 15 weeks, 2 days.
Total weight gain/loss: 7 lbs.

Sleep: Good-ish.

Best moment this week: Realizing we find out the gender in less than two weeks!!! (12 days)

Movement: Keep thinking I'm feeling movement when I try falling asleep, but too faint to tell between gas or kicks. So I'll just say no lol.
Food cravings: Pickles, Kosher Dill Pickle juice!! Starburst, flavored water, peaches, naturally squeezed grapefruit juice with salt.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Yogurt covered rainsins, & mushrooms (which I used to LOVE)

Have you started to show yet: Felt horrible pains in my uterus today, felt exactly like period cramps (I feel this every week but not as bad as today) Doctor says that means our little plum is growing :]
Gender Prediction: Starting to think maybe "he" could be a "she?" The anticipation is killing me!
Labor Signs: Nope-aroooony.
Belly Button in or out? In, took a look inside my belly button today just for kicks. I was wishing I could find an 'end point' because it's just a bunch of skin swirled in a circle, nothing but overlapping and twisting!
Engagement rings on or off? On
Happy or Moody most of the time: Very happy this week! :]
Looking forward to: In 7 days I'll go to hear little plum's heartbeat and let doc do measurements! Then in 12 days we find out the gender! Hopefully I'll feel movements by then?!?!
